Official: Man United may have already signed the new “Juan Sebastian Veron”, Solskjaer reveals

Manchester United may have signed the new Juan Sebastian Veron, , that’s a tacitly made claim by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to reports.

Fred joined Manchester United from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer in a £52m deal but he has failed to stake a claim in the first team of the Red Devils.

Under former boss Jose Mourinho, he had his chances but he has fallen further down the selection pecking order of the club since the arrival of Solskjaer.

Solskjaer has led Man United to an unbelievable start, winning all of his games so far. At the centre of his tactics is Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera, leaving Fred to be a bit-part player.

However, Solskjaer has claims Fred would eventually adapt like former Man United greats Diego Forlan and Juan Sebastian Veron.

He explained: “I think the question is wrong because I don’t think it’s my challenge to incorporate players.

“It’s about the players being ready when they get a chance and Fred, he’s been working hard in training, he’s a good lad.

”It’s the same with Andreas [Pereira] and Scott [McTominay] because, when they get the chance, and they will, we want to see improvement.

“And we know there’s a very, very good player there with Fred, so hopefully he’ll adjust to the English game because there’s no doubting of his talent.

“It’s always difficult to come here. One, it’s Man United, you’re expected to perform straight away.

He further referred to two of the players he played with:

“Two of the best players I played with who struggled the most were Diego Forlan and Juan Sebastian Veron, you know those two fantastic players, but when they settled, they performed.

“So I don’t think he needs to worry too much. He’ll get chances.”
