Campbell joined Arsenal from Deportivo Saprissa in the summer of 2011 but he has only flattered to deceive. He has been handed countless chances to prove his mettle, alas, the Costa Rican star has failed to do same.
He has traversed several clubs in Europe on loan spells but Arsenal new boss Unai Emery has asked that he be permanently sold.
The 26-year-old star will join the Canarini, after agreeing to sign a three year deal with the side. He is currently in Villa Stuart clinic in Rome to have his medical ahead of the move.
“I”m very happy to be here,” the 26-year-old told fans and reporters as he arrived.
We expect the deal to be sealed today and announcement made.
Meanwhile, Unai Emery has bemoaned the lack of an out-and-out winger in his squad and his failed move for Ousmane Dembele means the Gunners have to wait until the January transfer window or next summer to sign one.
The Next project for Emery is to add a top-notch winger and defender to his side.
