The Portuguese gaffer has informed Ed Woodword that he wants Martial gone given that European transfer window is still open until the end of this month.
Martial was fined 2 weeks wages for departing pre season tour in the US to be with his family after the birth of their second child which saw him return late.
The 22-year-old France international was an unused substitute in the first match of the season against Leicester. He was however used in the second match against Brighton due to a minor knock suffered by Alexis Sanchez.
The team had an unconvincing outing against the Seagulls and he was substituted with 30 minutes left to spare in a game they lost eventually.
After the match against Brighton it has been reported that a plea was made by Mourinho to Ed Woodword concerning the possibility of selling the Frenchman to raise funds for recruiting more players come January.
An insight Ed Woodword might not share with Mourinho which will further deteriorate the fragile relationship they currently have after the refusal to add players yearned by the gaffer to the team.
It is believed in some quarters that Anthony martial hasn’t progressed since he came to England three seasons ago. A view shared by big Sam who has identified the stagnancy in the Frenchman’s game adding that Sane have overcome him in development.
Both players were not invited to the World Cup by their respective countries though even if Sane has edged the Frenchman in development and impact.
