The Colombian international is currently on a season long loan in Naples and has an option to buy clause in his loan deal that will allow Napoli sign him permanently at the end of the season should they choose to.
He had a rough start to life at the club after conceding quite a number of goals in his first few games, but he seems to have settled in and has started impressing.
He became the first keeper to keep a clean sheet against Liverpool this season when Napoli defeated them in the Champions league. He was even more impressive in the next game against Sassuolo as he was arguably man of the match making seven saves to help secure a 2-0 victory for his side.
According to Italian media outlets, Ospina is hoping Napoli will exercise their purchase option at the end of his stay.
The Gunners currently do not need him as they have three goalkeepers in the squad already, hence the option to buy clause that was added to his loan agreement. They will be hoping he continues to impress and attract a good transfer fee for the sake of both parties.
