Mourinho Seals Deal For Man United Fourth Summer Signing, Ed Woodward Confirms

The transfer window of the Premier league will be shut in less than 72 hours but Manchester United are a tad short of defenders by the standard of Jose Mourinho.
While, there is the general acceptance that United may have already come-off the transfer window, club’s Chief executive Ed Woodward has reportedly informed Mourinho to expect a fourth summer signing, with claims that a deal is already in place for Toby Alderweireld.

Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant joined the Red Devils this summer but Mourinho is still in the want of a brand new player and he has set his sight on a centre-back, with Toby Alderweireld top on the radar of the club. Leicester City’s Harry Maguire is also linked with a move to United but his bogus valuation has presented a stumbling block to any move.

Alderweireld has entered the final year of his current contract with Tottenham and he has refused to put pen to paper on a new with the Lilywhites. Although they have the option of extending his deal by a year next year, they would be forced to cash in on him next summer if they fail to sell him this term.

Tottenham values Alderweireld at  £75m but despite the bogus sum, Goal claim an agreement/compromised has been reached between both clubs for the transfer of the player.

And the report further claims Woodward have informed Mourinho of the same breakthrough.

Following Man United defeat to Bayern Munich, Mourinho revealed that he had not adequately bolstered his squad like his rivals

“The other clubs that compete with us are really strong or they have already fantastic squads like Chelsea, Spurs, City, or they are investing massively like for example Liverpool buying everything and everybody,” Mourinho said.
