Just In: If Emery doesn’t change, Star Player is likely to leave Club

The arrival of Unai Emery has, for the most part, completely changed how things work at Arsenal. After over two decades with Arsene Wenger at the helm, Emery was always going to make an impression, and he certainly has done that.

Almost every player has felt the effects of his arrival, and for the most part, they’ve been positive. Many players are impressing and doing better than they ever have before, and that’s great for them.

However, not every player has been positively impacted by Emery’s arrival.

Danny Welbeck, for example, has started just 1 league game for the Gunners this term, and if that doesn’t change, it would make sense for him to quit the club.

After all, Welbeck is just the sort of player that a number of teams would be interested in. Though perhaps not the most exciting individual, he’s a player that delivers results when they’re really needed.

Unfortunately, he hasn’t had much of a chance to show that at Arsenal. Owing to the incredible depth in the attack at the Emirates, Welbeck has found himself on the bench regularly this season, and only occasionally is he actually used by Unai Emery.

The reality is that he’d be perfect for a mid-table side like Everton or Bournemouth, simply because of his reliability. Sure, he may not score every week, but he’d certainly work hard and attempt to make a difference.

Emery, though, doesn’t seem to recognise how important that side of the game is, and given recent results, it’s hard to question him. That said, if he doesn’t begin to give Welbeck more minutes, surely the attacker will have to leave the club.
