Report: Arsenal fans angry after Lacazette makes shock statement in recent interview

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has hinted that he could return to France one day, while also claiming that the fans in France are better than those in England, incurring the wrath of Arsenal fans in the process, according to the Daily Express.

The French international striker swapped the French Ligue one for the Premier League when he moved from Lyon to Arsenal in a deal worth around £50 million in July last year.

Lacaztte initially struggled to adapt to the new league, which led to the club’s decision to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in January.

The addition seemed to have the desired effect as he picked up form and has now struck a very prolific partnership with the Gabon international.

He now averages a goal in every 134 minutes for the club with his four goals in eight appearances this season.

Speaking on his stay in England after the 5-1 trashing the Gunners inflicted in, he admitted that he still misses the Ligue one. “I miss Ligue 1’s atmosphere,” he said.

“In England, the fans are more spectators than supporters.”

He was more encouraging when talking about his relationship with strike partner Aubameyang

“It is good, he is like my brother,” he said.

“We talk every day and we love working together. Today in front of the goal we scored two goals each, which is good.”

While Arsenal fans will not take too kindly to being called spectators, they wouldn’t mind as long as he keeps delivering the goods.
