Deal On: Arsenal lining up January move for in-demand Ligue 1 attacker

Arsenal are reportedly considering to make an approach for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe during the January transfer window.

The Ivorian winger is believed to have drawn the attention of a number of teams across Europe with his performances last term, when he found back of the net 13 times in 36 appearences.

The 23-year-old star has already has a goal and an assist to his name this campaign from the opening-day win over Rennes, and L’Equipereports that the Gunners have now joined the race to secure his services.

However, the North London club are likely to face competition for the Ivory Coast international, with Real Betis, Sevilla, and  Lyon having also been credited with an interest.

The Saints were rumoured during the summer and are believed to have seen a bid of £12.5m turned down, and reports in France claimed that Lille have already rejected offers of up to €35m (£31.5m) for their star player.

The 23-year-old star who has three goals in eight appearances for his country has recently signed a new five-year deal.
