Unai Emery’s side managed to move to within three points of Chelsea FC thanks to their victory over Maurizio Sarri’s men.
With a place in the Champions League up for grab, Arsenal will be hoping to register a sixth successive home win in the Premier League.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Arsenal to return to winning ways against Cardiff.
“Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 11 home Premier League games and have won their last five at the Emirates including an excellent win against Chelsea last time when their high press and controlled aggression was too much for the visitors,” Owen told BetVictor.
“It has been a difficult week for Cardiff with new signing Emiliano Sala reported to be on board a plane that went missing over the English Channel on Monday. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
“The Bluebirds lost 3-0 at St James’s Park in their last league game and it is hard to make a case for them given they have only scored once in their last five Premier League games.
“Cardiff boss Neil Warnock has managed three previous sides in top-flight football at Arsenal beginning back in 1991 with Notts County.
“Those clubs – also Sheffield United in 2006 & QPR in 2011 – have yet to score a goal yet alone pick up a point. I fear it will be another fruitless trip on Tuesday.”
Arsenal have won 21 of their previous 45 meetings in all competitions.
Although Cardiff have beaten the north London side on 10 occasions, Arsenal haven’t beaten Cardiff since 1960.
Emery’s side were 3-2 winners against Cardiff in their meeting in Wales back in September.
Goals from Shkodran Mustafi, Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette sealed a win against the promoted side.
Arsenal are in fifth place and level on points with Manchester United as the two clubs look to chase down Chelsea FC.
