‘Very advanced’ – Arsenal on verge of signing player – ‘imminent outcome’ on deal

Reports making the round, claim Denis Suárez is all set to join Arsenal in a €23 million deal from Barcelona

After being left out of the matchday squad for the La Liga tie against Leganés, it is clear that Suárez is on his way out of Barcelona.

Negotiations with Arsenal have been ongoing for a while now, and a breakthrough is not far, according to Mundo Deportivo

Arsenal manager Unai Emery said, “I know it’s a difficult window for the transfer market and if a player is coming to help us I am happy. But the club is doing that and I am going to wait.”


There will be an ‘imminent outcome’ on the Spaniard’s future after the player gave his ‘approval’ to joining the Premier League side a few days ago and only agreement between the two clubs are missing.

It’s the transfer is at a ‘very advanced’ stage and ‘everything indicates’ the deal is likely to be formalised this week and the former Villarreal man will join Arsenal on loan until the end of the season.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth recently revealed a compromise agreement could be struck for the versatile midfielder to get his move.

Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast: “Arsenal want him but it’s clear that Arsenal can only do loans, as Emery has explained in the last couple of weeks.

“They want to do a loan for Barcelona’s Denis Suarez, he’s got 18 months left on his contract.

“Barcelona, actually, are reluctant sellers but if they were going to do a loan with Arsenal, they would want some sort of guarantee of a permanent deal coming up in the summer.

“They value him at around £20m and perhaps most significantly and most importantly, Suarez wants Arsenal.”
