The 46-year-old joined the Gunners in December 2017 from Borussia Dortmund but will leave on Friday after disagreeing with the club’s new structure and approach since Ivan Gazidis’ departure.
Mislintat had little involvement in Arsenal’s January transfer business, with manager Unai Emery pushing to sign Denis Suarez, who he worked with at Sevilla.

Although the Barcelona loanee is seen as a winger by Emery, Arsenal are still looking to bring in a new wide man in the summer.
They had loan deals rejected last month for both Yannick Carrasco and Ivan Perisic, having been unwilling to commit to a compulsory obligation to buy either player at the end of the loan.
Arsenal are already looking at targets now, and will have more funds to attract better players in the summer, and Football.London report that Mislintat’s preferred choice was Lille’s Nicolas Pepe.
The Ivory Coast international has been simply sensational this season, scoring 16 times and assisting eight further goals in his 23 appearances in Ligue 1 – only Lionel Messi (21), Kylian Mbappe (18) and Cristiano Ronaldo (17) have more in Europe’s top five leagues.
However, Lille have slapped a £72million price tag on Pepe and Arsenal are likely to look at other options, despite the 23-year-old being heavily championed by Mislintat.

Instead, the Gunners look more likely to target Genk winger Leandro Trossard who would cost less than a third of the price at just £22m.
Arsenal confirmed in January that Mislintat’s final day at the club would be February 8, with the German already being linked with the likes of Bayern Munich as he eyes ‘new challenges’ after feeling his influence at the Emirates had become significantly diluted.
