It is understood the Serie A club want £31m for the Uruguay international, who featured in each of his country’s games at the World Cup in Russia.
The Blues held discussions with Inter over the weekend for £31 million-rated midfielder Vecino, who excelled at the World Cup with Uruguay.

Vecino started all five games for Uruguay at this year’s World Cup in Russia before they were knocked out by France in the quarter-finals.
During the 2017/18 season for Inter Milan Vecino made 29 appearances, scoring 2 goals and creating 2 assists, while picking up 7 yellows and a single red card.
