According to news outlet Digisport, the Gunners have dickered a deal for the Viitorul Domnesti attacking midfielder and he’s expected to join the club when he turns 16 in December.
Breaking through ranks into the first-team sheet at any club is a hefty task, given the amount of stiff competition between players.
Undoubtedly, Carjan will be surrounded by stiff competitors vying for the same berth in Unai Emery’s line-up.
The youngster will definitely be going up against brass players namely: Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, and newcomers Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi, all fiercely competing for the berth at the middle of the park.
Settling down at the Emirates could take the wind out of his sails, but the youngster is not bothered about that yet, but has succinctly expressed his excitement about joining the north Londoners.
The Romanian told Digisport that he’s raring to join the club and unequivocally stated he’s keen on making the Gunners first team sheet.
He said:“It’s something else, it’s a big difference I cannot wait to go there. I will sign when I’m 16. They told me that I was a good player and that they wanted (me) to go to (be promoted to the first) team in two years.”
He will be coached by Per Mertesacker, u18s manager Kwame Ampadu and u23s manager Freddie Ljungberg.
