The Villans, who defeated Hull City 3-1 in their opening fixture of the new 2018/19 season, have been linked with signing the highly-rated Chelsea striker on a season-long loan deal this summer.
Abraham, who has registered two senior international caps for England, made only his third outing for Chelsea during their 2-0 defeat to defending Premier League champions Manchester City in the FA Community Shield earlier this month.
The striker joined Chelsea at under-8 level, made Chelsea lineup that played against Liverpool and Leicester City in the Premier League back in May 2016, though he could be ship out of the club on loan for a third successive spell away from Chelsea before the end of the month.
Although, the summer transfer window has been shut on Thursday night, though Premier League clubs are still allowed to loan out players to lower league sides until August 31.
The striker spent the 2016/17 season loan with Bristol City, netting an impressive 26 goals in 48 appearances for the Championship club, before he scored eight goals in 39 outings for Swansea City last season.
Aston Villa head-coach Steve Bruce is hopeful of signing the Englishman on loan from Chelsea this summer, as he seeks to boost the core of his side’s attack this season.
However, Abraham could be later be at Stamford Bridge this year following the Blues’ decision to loan out fellow forward Michy Batshuayi to Valencia for the 2018/19 season.
This will leave Chelsea new manager Maurizio Sarri with just three senior strikers this season in Alvaro Morata, Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham.
