Michael Owen states his prediction for Chelsea FC v Bournemouth

Michael Owen is tipping Chelsea FC to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season when Bournemouth make the trip to Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

The Blues finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a spot in the Champions League for the second time in three seasons.

Antonio Conte led Chelsea FC to FA Cup glory but domestic success was sufficient to salvage the Italian head coach’s career at the west London side.

Chelsea FC turned to ex-Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri to replace Conte after the former Juventus manager was sacked at the start of July.

The west London side were 3-0 winners against Huddersfield Town in their opening fixture under Sarri before the Blues edged to a 3-2 win over bitter rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea FC left it late at St James’ Park last weekend but the Blues found a late winner to secure a 2-1 victory over Rafael Benitez and his Newcastle United side.

Former Liverpool FC striker Owen believes Chelsea FC will beat Bournemouth in their second home fixture of the 2018-19 Premier League season.

“Maurizio Sarri is the fifth Chelsea manager to win his first three PL games in charge of the club and he joins the illustrious quartet of Antonio Conte, Carlo Ancelotti, Guus Hiddink and Jose Mourinho,
” Owen told BetVictor.

“I feel the Blues will maintain their impressive start to the season against the Cherries and it was great to see the brilliant Eden Hazard back in the Chelsea starting XI against Newcastle on Sunday.”

Chelsea FC have won the Premier League title twice in the past four seasons but the Blues have struggled to find a level of consistency.
