Aubameyang speaks out angrily after joining Lacazette on Arsenal injury list

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has withdrawn from the Gabon squad to face Mali on Saturday following a misunderstanding with the Fegafoot.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker was upset after Fegafoot failed to publish that he was unable to fulfill the national call-up due to injury, amid impressions that he had turned down Gabon duty.

However, Aubameyang has hit out at the Federation for fueling rumours that he he simply hadn’t turned up for international duty, claiming that his doctor had made them aware of his injury in an email.

Responding to journalist Freddhy Koula on Twitter, Aubameyang said: ‘It’s weird that the football federation immediately publishes that a player cannot come [for national duty] for other reasons after they received an email from my doctor but still has not posted on it for more than 24 hours.

‘You say that Aubameyang declined as if I had refused to come for another reason’
