New Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign AFC Bournemouth forward Josh King during the winter transfer window.
As per The Sun, the Norwegian tactician is interested in signing his fellow Norwegian in January, having worked with him while he was a youngster at Old Trafford between 2008 and 2010.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer managed United’s reserves team while Josh King started his ascent into senior cadre football, but he never made the cut at Old Trafford, playing just one game in the first-team in three seasons before being offloaded to Blackburn Rovers later in 2013.

King, 26, then sealed a switch to AFC Bournemouth back in 2015 and since then the forward has managed to show why United had tipped him as one for the future at the start of his playing career, netting 37 goals in 123 matches for the side.
According to The Sun, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer disclosed in his first interview as Manchester United’s new boss that he would have a major say in the side’s transfer business when the January window opens and he has already penned down Josh King as his possible first signing since taking charge.
Josh King has tremendously proven himself as a good striker in the Premier League, helping Eddie Howe’s AFC Bournemouth over-perform as they once more push for a top-half table finish this term.

Eddie Howe will be extremely reluctant to lose King in January, but The Sun suggest that Josh King’s current transfer market value is about £25 million, which is a little drop in the ocean for a team the size of Manchester United.
