Not Hazard: Chelsea not willing to listen to offers for their key man

Chelsea are preparing to turn down any offers made for left-back Marcos Alonso, with both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid interested in landing the Spaniard before La Liga transfer window closes at the end of the month, the Daily Star reports.

Both Madrid sides are willing to splash out about £27 million on the 27-year-old, however, the Blues are not willing to listen to any offers with Premier League transfer window having already shut, and the club have no chance to bring in a replacement should he leave.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri sees Alonso as an essential feature in his plans this season, with the full-back having scored the winning goal in the 3-2 win against Arsenal at the weekend.

Marcos still has three years left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge, and the Blues are not willing to discuss any possible sale.

The left-back has thus far played every minute of every match for Chelsea this season and looks unlikely to depart from the club this summer, with Alonso believed to be content with life in London.

The interest from both Madrid teams in Alonso is said to be concrete, but neither have made an official approach yet for the defender.
